The Lab was created to increase public understanding about the root causes of homelessness, and proactively advance new narratives that will shift public opinion, in order to lay the groundwork for positive policy change.
We offer narrative research and strategic communications for grassroots organizations and national advocates working to solve homelessness. Let’s tell the real story about housing and homelessness. If you are interested in working with us, get in touch!
Narrative Research, Message Development and Implementation
We work with groups across the country to identify and analyze the status quo narratives that exist and persist in their local communities and probe how to build a new narrative. This includes determining values and messaging targets for a narrative that helps the public understand the truth about who becomes homeless and why.
Does your organization want to change the narrative about housing insecurity and homelessness in your community? We provide strategic planning, implementation and technical assistance with:
– Organization narrative and communications strategy
– Media strategy
– Writing and editing
– Digital content strategy and creation
Narrative and Storytelling Education and Training
We provide trainings tailored to your specific needs on topics including narrative and messaging basics, storytelling principles, narrative research, media and social media strategy, and more.
