POV: When Young People Lead – Storytelling That Inspires

Young people across the country are deeply hurt by sky-high rents and insufficient housing, including in college towns like Chapel Hill, N.C. Students at the University of North Carolina are showing what it looks like when young people tell stories about housing instability and homelessness — and solutions to it. We’ll talk with students who participated in the school’s POV Challenge 2025 and shared their stories, exploring the many ways housing is foundational to their lives through music videos, spoken word and jazz.
