Who experiences homelessness: The data shows more than the story you hear

Homelessness is a national challenge made worse by the COVID epidemic. But the reality of who experiences homelessness and why is broader than what we perceive or see. We explore the breadth of who experiences homelessness and why with Dr. Margot Kushel, MD, director of the Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative at  the University of California San Francisco and Sam Carlson, research and outreach manager at the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. Both are researching methods to determine true counts of those experiencing homelessness so we can understand the true nature of the challenge in order to find the right solutions.
