Clara Totenberg Green

Clara Totenberg Green (she/her) is an Atlanta native and graduate of Atlanta Public Schools, where she most recently worked as a Social Emotional Learning Coach, supporting staff across the district in building strong school communities and dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline. Clara has consulted on trauma-informed care and behavioral health for CHRIS 180 and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and volunteers in two Georgia prisons teaching a class on restorative justice. Clara received a B.A. from New York University in Latin American History and Politics, and a M.A.T. in Social Studies Education from Georgia State University. At PAD, Clara leads the organization’s community engagement and communications work.

The Policing Alternatives & Diversion Initiative works to reduce arrest and incarceration of people experiencing extreme poverty, problematic substance use, or mental health concerns, and increase the accessibility of supportive services in Atlanta and Fulton County.
